The College Hall dormitory at Wabash College creates a residential feeling for new students, provides community space for building relationships, and creates an environment conducive to a positive college experience. College Hall helps allow young men adopt a life of intellectual and creative growth.
Anchoring the south end of the Wabash College campus, College Hall was formerly a fraternity house, converted to provide dormitory space for 77 independent students. It demonstrates a thoughtful and resourceful approach to “re-purposing” an existing asset for a new and high priority use. In addition to improving the appearance, function, and character of the rooms, new heating, cooling, and ventilating systems have reduced operating costs, increased energy efficiency, and have provided significant improvements to life safety in the building. Handicap accessibility features were also added during the renovation.
